Local Government & SAMRAS

About Us


The Local Government Division has been supplying a locally developed, fully integrated Financial Management System Solution (ERP) called SAMRAS Classic to local authorities for more than 40 years. This fully GRAP compliant system includes modules covering income management (billing), expenditure, general ledger, supply chain management, HR and payroll. There are also modules that make provision for extensive reporting requirements such as financial statements powered by Caseware, NT Reporting requirements and more, underpinned by a comprehensive and integrated budgeting module.

More recently, capabilities that include Business Intelligence (BI), KPI reporting (SDBIP) and measurement, document management, workflow, leave, overtime management and various web portals for rate payers and suppliers have been developed as part of the new SAMRASplus suite of modules. Using data from SAMRAS Classic, SAMRASplus, (powered by Microsoft SharePoint technologies), presents information in a user -friendly web browser format.
