Sustainability
Bytes’ Carbon Footprint
Bytes SI have appointed Carbon Footprint Champions who will serve at each of the sites where carbon emissions are produced. The Champions have been appointed to assist the executive in driving the carbon reduction process and will have two key functions in addition to his / her regular duties.
- Data collection and site emission database management
Each operating company will produce an annual report on its carbon emission statistics. Additionally, every Bytes Carbon Champion will report to the company's Executive Committee on individual sites' current and past emissions in the context of global and group carbon trends. All this data will be collated to produce a total carbon emissions scorecard for the Bytes Group.
- Proposing carbon emission reductions
The site Carbon Champions will also evaluate the sites' carbon emission history and propose annual carbon emission targets per site. In this regard, global best practise and best practise in our industry and Group will determine the most effective strategy in driving carbon emission reductions.
Based on the sites' data, the Carbon Champions will propose carbon reduction targets and reduction strategies to the company's Executive Committee. The Carbon Champions will play an active role in assisting with the implementation of the strategy.
